Yes, he put you straight and sorted your problem by giving you the correct FID. But, in fairness, you should also be saying:
catymag you are THE WOMAN.
'Coz Caty set you straight back in Posts #36 & 38. The JM method still works fine to unlock the gmap folder for MS then to generate an 'unauthenticated' (partly unlocked) image for modern units. But it is so much easier just to unlock the gmap folder using [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] as Caty told you. Once you use it, you'll never want to mess around with JM again for NT maps. Just try it, you'll be doing yourself a favour.

You are correct Neil. I did thank Caty for her reply earlier but should have acknowledged her also.I do appreciate any and all help. This is a great site and I'm still learning stuff all the time.
As far as the PGFT method I cannot seem to figure out how to actually get the file in it. When I click on the Load File I cannot seem to find where to point it too.
My wife's name is Cathy so I automatically thought of Caty as Cathy and I'm sure a beautiful lady.
Thanks for that pic Neil. I must have a different version of PGFT as you can see by my photo, it does not have a mapsource tab. [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
I am now searching for the newer version

@Nozzon
Just select the MapSource Tab then follow this:
Don't press the 'Load File' button for this function, that's for loading img & gpi files at present. Maybe would be a bit less confusing if that button was greyed out on MapSource tab selection, but it's a work in progress still. The gmap folders are displayed automatically, providing they have been 'installed' and not just dropped in. But you can update the registry manually in V2.2.3.4 anyway as shown above by selecting the .xml file of a missing map.
If you continue to have trouble, read the [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] thread again and then post there for help if you need it. You'll find it worth the very tiny trouble to master PGFT, and not just for MS unlocking. It really is the 'swiss army knife' for garmin files. Started off for just unlocking protected gpi files but now useful not only for unlocking gmap folders but also img maps, and marcocq is working on protected vpm voice files as well. A real 'one-stop shop'!

Don't tell me that you think Caty is only PRETENDING to be female??
