help [Help] Garmin Drive 52 (TWN) bricked

    Hi everyone,

I have a Garmin Drive 52 (Taiwan Traditional Chinese version / TWN) that is stuck in a boot loop. I would really appreciate some advice or guidance from the experienced members here on how to recover it.

Device Information: Garmin Drive 52 (Manufactured in 2019, Made in Taiwan, Traditional Chinese firmware)

Initial Symptom: The device was completely stuck on the Garmin startup logo and would not boot into the navigation menu. Holding the bottom-right corner of the touchscreen during power-on failed to bring up the Master Reset (Clear all user data) prompt.

    1.Steps Taken So Far
    a. Pre-boot Mode & PC Communication:
    i. Installed the official USBDrivers_2312.exe on Windows.
ii. Successfully triggered Pre-boot mode by pressing and holding the upper-left corner of the screen while
    connecting the USB cable.
iii. Updater.exe can recognize the device under "USB Device" Mode.

    b. Flashing QuickCure3:
    i. Attempted to process firmware with GarminCure3, but due to the encrypted firmware format of newer
Drive models, it was not recognized.
ii. I then dragged QuickCure3.rgn into Updater.exe and flashed it to the device. The update finished with the
    message: "The update was successful."

    c. Current Device State:
    i. After reconnecting to the PC, the screen now constantly displays "LOADER LOADING..." over the Garmin
logo (as shown in the attached picture).

ii. The device does not mount as a standard Mass Storage drive (lettered disk) in Windows File Explorer.
iii. However, Garmin Express detects the connected unit, and the official system previously triggered a
    standalone map update package (GarminMapUpdater.exe).

    2. Questions & Help Needed
Because the Drive 52 uses encrypted firmware and older Cure tools cannot unpack it, the unit is currently held in loader mode awaiting valid firmware:

    a. Does anyone have the original GCD or an RGN flashable firmware for Garmin Drive 52 TWN?

    b. With the screen currently showing "LOADER LOADING...", what is the recommended procedure or tool (e.g.,
Garmin RGN Tool, patched ldr.bin, or SD card recovery method) to force Mass Storage access or restore the
    clean system?

    c. If I have the official GarminMapUpdater.exe provided by Garmin, but it fails to run because the legacy server
has been shut down. Is there any way to directly extract the official .gcd firmware from this executable?"

I have attached photos of the unit's rear label, the successful Updater.exe flash window, and the current "LOADER LOADING..." screen for reference.
