I've not been able to locate earlier versions of the fw anywhere and i've again looked in the usual places just now. I'm sure you've already searched very extensively also. The only chance seems to be if you can find someone with an older version as you've asked in the previous post.

It's unfortunate that these particular devices don't have an easy way to manually clear the nonvol memory by the user, which is what a fw downgrade really mimics.
