New devices have new software and new firmware whose concept is absolutely different from the old ones. Forget about GCD files, that's not how it works anymore.

If there are tools on Garmin's website and if this option is provided, it is only possible to do it using them.
And as far as I know, there are no more downgrades for these and similar models. That option is probably disabled.

Garmin instinct 2/2s software downgrade
After installing latest firmware (17.x) on my instinct 2s, my battery life has tanked along with HR sensor issues.
I would like to downgrade to 16.x or even 15.x, does anyone have the update GCD file for any older firmware? It seems they no longer have to files to download on the garmin beta programme page.
