Thread: Looking for Garmin Monterra 3.20 Firmware

Dear all,
I've recently bought a Monterra device so I'm new to monterra ecosystem.
Without knowing the whole story I hooked it to my mac via garmin software and did all the firmware updates.
Now runs on 4.20_1.30.00 software version and 4.0.4 android version.
After working around a little bit I' ve found that you have to root the device in order to take the full advantage of what is capable of.
So I tries to root it with kingo root and adb drivers but I've failed too many times.
Reading further I found out that you have to downgrade to version 3.20 to root it successfully.
Could you help me on this by providing me with some steps for doing so or at least denoting a link with the necessary procedures.
