Use a hex editor to search both the subject and intended target firmware for "1.0.5.-." where "." is a wildcard to find "1 0 5 - x x x x x - x x". If you find matches in "x x x x x - x x" that also match the PCB P/N shown in the DS 61's hidden menu behind the battery symbol then you might be able to successfully cross-flash.
