Have you formatted nuvi with RMPrepUSB after flashing cure two months ago, or did you delete files only?
Have you made NV backup after earlier cure success?
Does pc see you nuvi?
After following the helpful advice on this [Only registered and activated users can see links. ], I was able to reflash and use the Nuvi 780 for a couple of months.
Last week it went into the continuous reboot loop again. I tried to reflash the Nuvi 780 in pre-boot mode (Garmin drivers installed) using GarminCure3 v0.1 to load the Cure with nuvi7xx_GCDfile__540.gcd and nuvi7xx_GCDfile__490.gcd.
The usb device is recognized by GarminCure3.exe but right before erasing to flash using the cure, it gives the following error:
I've tried flashing from Win 7 32 and 64bit machines, ran GarminCure3 with admin rights, changed USB cables, ensured no SD Card is inserted into the slot, and tried with two .GCD file versions. Same error every time.
Hoping that flash chip is not hosed for good and a work around maybe possible.

2. Unfortunately no
3. The device is currently in continuous reboot. The drive does not appear in explorer. When I use the pre-boot sequence, the device appears in Updater.exe and allows me initiate a cure. However, the cure fails with the Garmin device is unable to program the requested memory region error.
