Contact again Garmin support, it has to be fixed or replaced, I've read in other forums OSM files can mess it up and some users got the same problem and got the unit replacement.

Garmin support it's very expansive! With less money i buy it used on Ebay. My Edge is out of warranty. It's 3 years old... I have possibility to buy a Edge 800 with crashed display. The owner ensure that it still works. So i want to mount my display on crashed Edge. The question is where is the internal flash ram... If is on the motherborard is ok, but if is on the bottom of the screen, the replacement is not useful... Hard question! I think that i take the risk...
Mandare il Garmin in assistenza č molto costoso perchč il mio Edge č fuori garanzia. Con meno lo ricompro usato. Ho trovato una persona che ne vende uno con il display rotto. Ma mi ha assicurato che funziona. Quindi potrei montare il mio display su quella motherboard. Il problema č che se la flash interna č sul retro del display, la sostituzione non serve a nulla. Perņ penso che correrņ il rischio...
