I had similar issues with the Etrex 20x running FW V2.3. I got authentication failure with maps CN Benelux 2016.30 and Topo Germany V7.1. Going back to FW V2.0 solved it. Can now use all unlocked maps. Thanks for the info in this pot.

the las firmware versions have MSV check, it necesary patch firmware.

No relevant changes, you need to patch firmware to use unlocked maps. (flash patched sw normal way, no preboot needed)

just a quick question: do I have to delete some files from device, before flashing(GCD file) via memory card.
