Thread: Nuvi 27x9 Software Versions Summary

Since my upgrade to 8.80, my Nuvi 2789LMT's HD traffic cable(GTM 60 HD) is not recognized for traffic. It does charge without any problem using the traffic/ power cable though. Can't find any prior firmware versions to roll back to. Can anybody provide and older firmware version or point me in a direction for any.

P.S.
I know the traffic portion of the cable works as I have tried it on my daughter's Drivesmart 70LMT which IS compatible with my GTM 60HD cable.
Again, any help obtaining any older versions would be greatly appreciated!

This model is DISCONTINUED by Germin, The chances of having traffic working on it is hard to say.

You can with an Android or Iphone get an app that will let you have traffic.

That device receives a classic TMC signal Radio (FM)

If it is not a problem with the signal or cable, which is easy to determine because the other device is working, then it is definitely due to the device itself
It is possible that there is a problem with the firmware, and maybe the chip has failed
