Garmin Alpha 300 firmware analysis

Hi!

Firmware for Garmin Alpha 300 device has new extension gsp.

Do someone know how to extract Boot.bin and Fw_all.bin parts from this format?

Old RGN_Toll doesn't recognize new gsp format.

Any information?

In recent years, Garmin has switched to a new OS, which is practically based on Linux (Android) and whose mechanisms are not published anywhere.

^^ Agree ^^^. The existing Garmin tools will only ever work with the "old" .RGN and .GCD fw files. The newer Garmin devices, even those running Garmin's longstanding Proprietary OS but using encrypted firmwares, along with those with modified Linux/Android operating systems are unfortunately not so easily manipulated.

You need Linus Torvalds himself or someone of similar talent to hack your Alpha's fw. If someone's done it, they're keeping it under wraps.
