    If you buy another receiver from a retailer it will almost certainly come with the original software version 2.00 loaded. If the v2.30 file named 006B154601.GCD is present on the GPS unit in .System/RemoteSW it will 'upgrade' any GTM70 connected to it automatically.

    Ok, thanks, removed that file now...

    and now "garmin express" is asking me to update again ;-)

    Please check your garmindevice.xml file to looking for B1546

    It must be like below:

    After successful update garmindevice.xml must contain current version for moment. PC SW does not read file version from files but only from garmindevice.xml which generated by device after scan internal info and files.
    Garmin, how much is 30 pieces of silver for Judas today? Were they worthy for crucifix of GPSPower?

    I still have the 006B154600.gcd original file from my first ever backup of my device. Thinking about putting this back on to see if it forces a 'downgrade'

    So added to the old file back on. Garmin express wants to update but the traffic receiver again. On power on and connection the unit did not 'update' to the old version. Gette if you want a copy of the file drop me a private message with your E-Mail; its only a 1Mb file so I will mail it over to you
