It looks like the "official update" bricked mine GTM70

it keeps saying that the reciever is disconected

is there any way how i can revert this update or how i can push it again to the reciever???

Also bricked my GTM70, would not suggest anyone applies this update. I have a support ticket raised will let you know how I get on

Nice one garmin!!!!!

I bought this reciever for mine holiday, and i'm leaving next wednesday, it seems like they won't get it fixed in 3 days....

So Garmin make the same mistake like in GTM Type 3 update, where update brick GTM 25 and they say that nothing wrong with update file, but they change GTM anttene for new in 2 days.

Ummm? One bricked might be bad luck caused by interfered update from device to GTM70, but 2 reports are suspicious. Any of you NSEs compared to check what's been changed?
I wonder has Garmin confused the NA GTM60 HD Radio receiver with the EU GTM70 DAB receiver. Easy mistake to make if the juniors in Olathe were given the 'simple' task ...

what if i buy a new one, does the GPS also pushes the Update to the GTM reciever????

If you buy another receiver from a retailer it will almost certainly come with the original software version 2.00 loaded. If the v2.30 file named 006B154601.GCD is present on the GPS unit in .System/RemoteSW it will 'upgrade' any GTM70 connected to it automatically.

Ok, thanks, removed that file now...

and now "garmin express" is asking me to update again ;-)
