Hey Guys,
I've been trawling through previous posts and have all the tools that I seem to need, though I have a problem that seems to have been touched on and not resolved and I was wondering if I was doing something wrong.
So today I updated my firmware using the Garmin Express software on my Mac, I then stupidly and completely accidentally formatted my GPS. I switched over to my PC after looking at a bunch of suggestions on here and on another site regarding RMPrepUSB. So here is the issue.
I am able to get my Garmin into preboot mode (windows gets it in device manager) but RMprepUSB cant find it. GarminCure3 can see it, but I cant flash any firmware to it as I keep getting a "no updates are available" error. meanwhile my Garmin is stuck on the boot logo, before long the preboot expires(?) and the device disconnects and remains on the boot logo.
What can I do to fix this?
Any help is much appreciated
You have to navigate to get to the good.

You have probably MTK nuvi 1490.
You can try load this FW in Garmin cure tool:
