In post #3, I provided a link to a thread where I was in the exact same situation as you. In that thread you can read all the steps, one by one, that lead to the fix. The stage you're in now, is identical to [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] in "my thread" (click link). The picture you see on your screen is one of the default pictures Garmin loads into the nüvi. I had one of the other pictures. Please read the linked thread and you should be able to get your nüvi working again too.

Wow, I can't thank you enough smokefree and everyone else here who even bothered to help me in regards to this matter.
I have my Garmin up and running and all thanks to the kind people who offered to direct me in the right direction.Thanks a lot for all the help,info, etc.
