Hello people,
First post so please go easy!

I am trying to help a friends 3790T which is stuck on the 'Loading maps' screen at boot.
I followed ddabcd277's [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] on changing drive letters in the device memory.
It was complicated but I could do it and it enabled the device to boot up.
However it still doesn't work properly with the modified .rgn file - it has errors 'fm traffic provider database missing', 'acquiring satellites' - 'trouble finding satellites', no maps, webupdate does not update properly etc.
But when I restore original .rgn (latest version 5.00) it is still stuck on 'Loading maps.'
Before changing the drive letters I deleted random .poi, .img, .tracks etc. files on it [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] catymag.
Unfortunately I did not make a backup of the original.
I tried to reformat with [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] with original settings, but it went into a restart loop.

Does anyone have any advice please?
