I agree with Giomen wildcards are included in the copy command
Command format: copy,<source path>,<destination path>,<pattern>
Maybe someone downunder with a lot of free time on his hands could try and let us know (nudge nudge wink wink)

The difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has its limits.
Albert Einstein.
And also for MP3 files, at least in 7 series nuvis. Put them in a dedicated folder named MP3 or anything else, or just scatter individual files around in the root or in the Garmin folder, in the JPEG folder, where ever. The unit will find them all. I haven't been bothered trying that in any other mp3 audio player capable units but i guess it's the same.
Well, maybe i didn't do it right but i couldn't get copy to sd to work with wildcard. No problem with specific file name of course.
You've got plenty of time, maybe someone in Darkest Africa could try it [not much to do in over there in the way of leisure activities is there?] (shove shove poke poke).
