A friend gave me a Nuvi 40 from the US as a gift.
I want to use the Junction View feature of the unit but it won't.
What can I do to remedy the problem?

Only PH firmware can see the PH encrypted JCV. If the PCB P/N of the PH 52 unit is the same as US/EU 4x/5x units then it may be possible to flash US 40 with PH fw but in my opinion the risks outweigh any benefit. Using Asian fw on a US unit always has downsides
Edit: A quick search of the PH Garmin site doesn't yield any software available to download for the 52 anyway to check the match.
