    The cables mentioned above have some resistance (~47 KOhm for service USB, for example) between GND and ID pins of mini USB connector (see [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]), while normal USB cable doesn't have any conductivity between GND and ID.

    I think your device has some problems with USB hardware. Maybe there is some parasite conductivity between GND and ID pins of mini USB socket.

    If you can't resolve this hardware problem you can use QuickCure3 for entering the mass storage mode from pre-boot mode. It doesn't require flashing CURE firmware and reverting to the ORIGINAL after that.

    Hi,
    I use 4 different usb cables,the result its same when I flashed on laptop or PC. I forget to mentioned I use win7.Try same thing to win xp?

    Having the same problem with 4 different cables indicates that the problem is inside your nuvi.
    Windows version has nothing to do with the problem.
