I think this nuvi might have a corrupt flash region.
One of the regions could be used for USB mode but not used during run time.
Could also be some faulty Flash Memory Cells.
If someone has full regions backup of this Nuvi it might help. (Flash via SD)
But then there is the issue of duplication !!
