Did you remember to remove the file GUPDATE.CGD from .System folder of the unit? It would have been placed there when the fw was updated by WebUpdater. If it's left on the unit it would re-flash the full nuvi 2460 fw after you had loaded the 'hybrid' fw of nuvi 2460 boot.bin and dezl 560 fw_all.bin using Updater.exe in preboot. Because the unit's HWID remains as 1273 [from nuvi 2460] when using the hybrid fw it's still identified by Garmin helper programs as a 2460 and the corresponding full fw is added to the unit. This results in that re-flash on reboot.
In case you've made some error with the hybrid fw, i'll remake it with current 2460 3.60 boot and 3.70 560 fw_all and add it to Post #1.
