It's mentioned twice in Post #1 that the most essential backup of all, NV, be done. My experience with newer users is that it's more likely overlooked than done, and inexperienced ppl are more likely to do a files backup only in spite of being warned about nv. A pity, 'cos a lot of seriously bricked units could be easily revived for the sake of spending a few minutes backing up nonvolatile memory.Originally Posted by putipu
