Thread: Firmware Update for GTMxx Traffic Receiver Type 3 software version 3.10

Loly reported in another topic a problem of a user with gtm35, similar to what I describe below. I'm still not sure if it was a mere coincidence or consequence, but come on .
I think there might be some kind of lock in fw 3.10. I installed fw and it worked ok with the signing Jetmouse that was already installed (31495,0,0,1) but was a little unstable as did time, and decided to install a "normal" (14,14,1 and 15,15, 1).

Installed, the signatures appear correctly, but since then no more tuning of Traffic signals and, worse, the option to install and uninstall signatures is disabled in gps, ie, it seems that the firmware can not identify the signature Jetmouse that is already installed (therefore works) but identifies and blocks a new installation signature Jetmouse that, therefore, not works. Tried several ways to install the previous 2.90 firmware, but without success (manually, by webupdater changing the fw 2.90 to 3.11 etc..). Anyone know if the dump of rom gps covers the memory of the cable GTM? (cable on, of course)

I just tried not only in pre-boot, but I believe not be possible because the webupdater only copies the file to RemoteSW folder and change your name to 006B090100.GCD to be installed automatically when the cable is connected, in short, everything indicates that it is not possible to install from pre-boot. Probably I was little skillful to change the firmware indication (2.90 to 3.11), if someone can take a look at this issue, or other possible ways of directly changing the firmware 2.90 of GTM25/35, would be great..

p.s.: GTM 25 G3, ID 901 in 3790-> 3490 and in nuvi 1390.
