No, this is not correct. Do like this:
0) I assume you know how to make CURE/ORIGINAL firmwares and enter pre-boot mode.
1) flash CURE firmware using pre-boot mode. Now your device will be able to enter the mass drive mode.
2) Backup your device's flash drive.
3) Format it with RMPREPUSB as suggested here: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
4) Don't copy files back this time.
5) flash ORIGNAL firmware using pre-boot mode.
