Thread: About 37xx converted to 34xx satellites reception accuracy

I'm comparing my unit with 2595 accuracy. In 3790 SW case, it is worse, but with 3490 SW it is a tragedy. Not all the time, unit has its good moments, but they are rare especialy with 3490 SW. In the end of the day I simply can’t rely on unit.
When I have to find address in completely unknown city area, I’m in the tough traffic and I suddenly my only guidance unit stop to navigate me, because it simply is lucking accuracy or start saying to turn left, but I can’t, because I’m not on the street shown, but one or two streets in the left or right….I feel myself completely lost and angry. Every one of us knows that to miss a correct turn means not only fuel, but mainly much more time to reach destination. If I can avoid this – I’ll do it.
Apparently for the time being that will not happen with my old 3790 unit regardless software used.
May be I’m too tired from the unit’s behavior, but …….

As far as I checked, 37hh works the same as with the bootloader from 34hh and 37hh booton. but it was on the older versions of firmware on the new I did not even check. Not much understand what it is you, but today check 37hh flash firmware with bootloader from 37hh and 34hh bootloader from and compare. maybe not work.

I can't make it work, but that's been with recent fw's.

guys we about 37xx to 34xx or talking about 24x0 in dezl 560?

ps links to 4pda only point to the section where in 2011 we discussed the need for flashing the bootloader from 34xx.
Based on existing at the time firmware versions, it was about firmware for November 2011. So they worked in combination bootloader from 37xx and all the rest of 34xx.

I do have the bl**dy device but had forgotten what the symptoms were so i had to try again.

This: Clear NV, remove Voice, Text & Keyboard folders, flash in preboot mode 110101000780.rgn made up of 37x0 v5.00 boot.bin and 34x0 V7.80 fw_all.bin & fw1_resources.bin. Loads successfully without complaint from updater.exe.

Results: On reboot unit sticks on Garmin logo forever. Has to be forced off. Flashes back to 3790 ok, seems to operate normally.
