My nuvi 7x5 has a problem! Please help!

as I wanted to install the new map on it I discovered that it had no longer folders like Garmin.
All those files that were supposed to be folders,now were ".exe" files,so the antivirus wanted to scan the files and folders,and found that they were viruses,and actually wiped them off!

When I type the address manually (to open the folder)it does work.
The actual device works too.

What should I do to restore the folders to its original state?

Do you have a backup?
If yes format nuvi , it's better to avoid further problems.
Follow this

Then flash original firmware and run webupdater

Thank you for your fast reply @catymag.

I do not have a back up of the drive,at all.
I can only access certain folders by typing in the folder name for example I:/Garmin(this is the only one I can remember).

Is it possible in someway to make a backup in this current state,and how?
What are the most important folders and files I have to pay attention to?

does anybody have a 7x5?
Can someone upload or do you know where I can find those backup files to download?

I did the thing with RMPrepUSB and i do not have any files in my garmin anymore.
Did the backup of the garmin folder,but nothing is happening when I upload it to the device.

Please help

On your nuvi create new folder and add name Garmin.
Turn off your nuvi
Turn on your nuvi

Open folder Garmin and you will see Garmindevice.xml (if you have garmindevice.tmp just rename to garmindevice.xml)
Run webupdater and download all.

The thing is it is totally blank.
It also doesn't respond to the power button.

I'm able to add those backup-ed files to the device(only the garmin folder-as I was told,as it is the most important),but nothing happens when I unplug it .

The screen is saying GARMIN (no movement at all) no loading sign or anything else.

If you ask only in one thema then yoi will have all in one place, now you hawe on two places:

Do you use Garmin cure tool?
If you flash with cure then you must now flash with original FW, if you don't do this than your nuvi will stuck on Garmin screen.
Create original FW with cure tool and flash in pre boot and your nuvi will turn on.
