I dont know if you know procedure for repair but here it is:

First flash with what is inside folder cure
When you in mass storage create backup of your nuvi if you dont have it (dont forget on hidden .System folder)
Format your device to FAT32
Add back your files from backup but dont add maps (gmapsupp.img,gmapbmap.img,etc)
Flash with what is inside folder original if all go ok your nuvi now work.
You can add back gmapbmap.img,gmapsupp.img etc.

lolypop000, Thanks for the file.the first file works for me. not MKT. I flashed the unit with cure first. The flash was successfully. But when it reboots, same thing again , stuck at garmin logo. I cannot see the device as storage drive in my computer.

Maybe you need to clear NV memory. As I remember, sometimes GarminCure3 doesn't help but clearing NV does help!

Thanks for the file loypop000. The first file worked for me, not the MKT file.I was able to flash it with cure file.Also tried original file after that. But it still boots to garmin logo. Another thing is the computer cannot recognize it as storage device.

What happened just before this problem occurred ?

Did you flash something ? Did you update map ? or maybe something else.

Try holding the power button down for longer than 30 seconds, release and then plug in usb cable.
This has helped me once or twice.

If you have sd card remove it.

If you have SD card inside nuvi,remove it and try if nuvi turn on.

lolypo000 I tried to send you message. To be able to send PMs your post count must be 15 or greater.

That didn't work. same no boot or recognized by my computer. Thanks for the help.

can I change the HWID with RGN tool? how do I find the HWID ( 4 digits)

MY HWID is about about 8 digits.
