Thanks to both, I have tried restarting phone and Nuvi, disabling and re-enabling BT on both but still no luck. I can see the Nuvi from my phone but when I try to pair it doesn't ask me for a pin, both units give me a message telling me it couldn't pair though. From the Nuvi I cannot see the phone when I search. Using Evo 4G running ICS on CM9 port...all of my other BT devices work as expected so I don't think it's the phone. I talked with Garmin customer service rep. and he said "the only Nuvi meant to pair with my phone is the 3590." As far as I know a BT protocol is the same from one unit to the next so not sure how they can say this unit will pair with this phone unless they are basing that on available protocols on each unit. When I told him I bought the 3790 specifically for it's BT capabilities he didn't know what to say.

Catymag - I believe it has been tested thoroughly and have read quite a bit in that thread, just not sure how Garmin hasn't caught on to this? Let me make sure I understand, you are telling me that I can use [Only registered and activated users can see links. ], specifically that latter part of the first post under "Another way to convert 34xx with logo and enable features" and will not loose my LMT? If I flash 3490 firmware it will still work with my 3790 traffic reciever? Thanks for your help, a bit hesitant since I've only had the unit for three days...want to make sure the BT will pair and that I don't have to send it back before I flash anything.
