HWID is 1101 so you have a 37xx. Layout looks right on the copy you have depicted on the screenshot from your PC. If the Garmin folder is in the root of the card with the subfolders and files as shown on your screenshot and assuming you have correctly copied the ldr.bin and text commands it should work (check you have no extraneous space at the end of the lines in the file 'update.txt'). Also check Ldr.bin with RGN_Tool to confirm it's the same as your fw version. Maybe the backup has been done but the reboot command has not been successful. Shut the nuvi down normally and check the card as the backup may be there anyway. Also, this is a common problem, apparently sometimes it just won't work with certain cards with certain units, so try another MicroSD just in case. Ensure the card is clean, with nothing else on it.
Interestingly, i have a 265W in front of me right now which earlier today refused to do an NV backup to a MicroSD in an SD adapter. It's a Garmin factory 'refurb' which has been taken back to as-new condition and has current V7.60 fw as supplied. I checked the microsd by using it for NV backup for two other nuvis, a 40 and a 1390. No problem with either for backup using that card. Tried the 265W again, no dice. Reformatted the card, no dice. Tried a different adapter, no dice. Downgraded the fw to 7.40, no dice. Returned the fw to 7.60, still no dice. "Software Loading' flashes up a moment, and then it hangs on 'Loader', no green bar appears. This is what I see using that card, going on and on until the unit is shut down:
But, tried another MicroSD and within seconds the backup was done successfully. Moral: If NV backup won't work with a certain card (even if that card does work for other units), just try another card.
EDIT:
@catymag
Do you know how to clear NV on a 2x5W? I can't find it like with other nuvi models. Does resetting the Stacks via the speedo clear NV?
