Thanks Loly, info link to your post added to initial post.
Generic instructions and templates for SD/microSD flash if your unit has 'rrgn' and 'xrgn' commands in firmware. This method will save a copy of your current region 16 to the card as '16_backup.bin' then write the new logo [16.bin] to the device's region 16. Two templates are supplied, use 'to 1' template if you have an older [other than nuvi3x0/6x0] device without hidden partition RWFS and MTP [Media Transfer Protocol]. Use 'to 2' template if it's 3/6x0 or a later unit [generally most 2012/2013> automotive devices have MTP]. [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. Using 'to 1' in an MTP device will result in the device writing to and trying to copy from from it's hidden RWFS partition so don't use it for them, only use 'to 2'. Using 'to 2' in a non-MTP device will do nothing in an older device unless it's a nuvi 3x0/6x0 which have the card path as 2:/ even though they aren't MTP devices. Other nuvi series 2xx[W], 7xx, 1xxx etc and StreetPilot c5x0 all use 1:/ for the media card.

CAUTION: Only flash a modified logo bin or one from a different unit if you know exactly what you are doing. Be particularly cautious that you are using the CORRECT Ldr.bin for YOUR device with proper HWID, more info: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. Many older units cannot be flashed from SD as the commands 'rrgn' and 'xrgn' do not exist in firmware. Some such as SP c3x0, 26x0, 27x0 and earlier devices which don't have a visible files system ['region-only' units] can have the logo screen changed by other methods including the universal RGN method to flash a logo bin file to region 16 [hex 10] detailed in [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]. Seek advice by posting in here if unsure of your unit's capability. BEWARE: If you use the wrong boot.bin / Ldr.bin you will likely 'hard-brick' your unit! Ask first if unsure.
