Thread: nuvi 35x software upgrade (lane assist, junction view)

Hi thermojetics and welcome to the forum. I see you've already met Giomen our resident Russian 'oscar the grouch', he's a big softie really but his missus musta hid his vodka last night. He is totally right, if you want those features you should buy a modern device. The 350 is a robust and reliable unit and served its purpose in its price range nicely. But... they are unlike the US/EU 2x5w range which had oriental cousins whose firmware enabled those features. Flashing SG/MY fw to US/EU units enables JCV & LA in US/EU 2x5w. Don't be too jealous though, many with the S4 boards ended up bricked and of the ones that were converted to sg/my most were converted back anyway. They were a dismal failure because of TTS speech problems and JCView not displaying properly plus they lost ecoroute (forever). A better option is to convert them to 465 'truckies nuvi' which enables LA (not JCV) but more importantly routes. Before you ask, your 350 can't do that either. Sorry.

Well, you and the evil. Have pity on me! I do not have a lot of work for many years I always laughed at the chiefs and upset the harmonious work team. Even with compulsory military service I was released ahead of schedule - instead "there is a reprimand" I always say "thank you for yet another reprimand". So I'm drinking - vodka. I would like to make a profit to the employer in public but it says take the money from the cash register and drink vodka at home.

Go on.... no conscript gets chucked out of the Russian military, do they?? I thought they just shot you if they didn't want you anymore. Less paperwork that way. Waddaya do anyway, slept with the General's daughter i suppose.
