Apart from purchase which i think is only about $10 anyway, you can modify rgn140 as detailed in Post #1 here, checking ecoRoute Standard and unchecking ecoRoute HD & ecoRoute Purchase. Please download the app and get a copy of rgn140 off your unit to open as 140.bin so you can then see what's checked and what's not. As to your 3 questions:

2) That's the firmware, v8.20 GCD file. You can get RGN_Tool from turbo's site via the link is in cat2115's post or get it here: [Only registered and activated users can see links. ].

3) That tut was written when 7.10 was the latest, your unit runs 8.20 firmware so you should use that.

We have a saying downunder: 'Just have a go, mate!' i reckon you will probably be able to work it out when you try.

If you then need further help as to how to proceed post again, but only after you've seen what you've got enabled in 140 now.
