Thread: Nuvi cant enter USB mode

Go to hidden menu over battery icon and look beside USB what is writen.

Do you have 500mA or do you have 1A?

If you have 500mA then something is wrong with your pc if you have 1A then something is wrong with your cable.
Do you have cable like this beside number 1 or 2:

beside the USB ID shown 1.69V without usb, but when plusgged with usb it change to 0.22, 1,30, 1,2 ( with 3 other cables). the cables works fine on other nuvi 1100. By the way sometimes when this nuvi 255w plugged with usb i can enter usb storgae mode.. but it to short and most of the times it wont go to usb mode.
