Here is a video (sorry for the quality) this time I am eventually acting on a new computer, I just formatted computer and anti-virus scanner. GPS is the first peripheral connected

I also try in safe mode, and it is the same result.

I tried handling the SD card, but the GPS is on the screen Copyright 2012

I haven't seen symptoms like this in a long time. In fact, the last time I saw such a thing was in 1997, when Casio released its A11 handheld PC. In that instance, the drive controller for the PCMCIA card slot was corrupting the data, requiring Casio to release a patch to correct the problem. However, before that patch was released, the only way to fix the problem was to remove the PCMCIA card from the slot, insert it into a laptop with a PCMCIA slot, and format.

You can't do that here, but I believe the cause is the same. The memory controller here is the culprit and you may well have a bad unit. Have you contacted Garmin?
