When I say "GCD file is flashed" I understand the following process:
1) GCD file is copied to some storage which the Garmin device can access (CF card, SD card, internal flash drive)
2) Somehow (details differ among different devices) boot.bin from the GCD file with matching HWID is executed on the device
3) boot.bin reads GCD file sections and writes them to the device's flash chip.

In this particular case boot.bin is patched and instead of reading GCD file sections it executes my code.

Some new tests. Now I want to know if it's possible to change data of files other than gupdate.gcd (looks like this boot.bin can't extend files, it can only change bytes that already exist). I want you to copy new.bin or exst.bin to the root of the CF card and then flash the corresponding gupdate.gcd, and then send the .bin file to me.
