Now it's ok. You can flash it.
-
So this will run from memory ? yes ?
-
Yes, it will be copied to RAM only, and it will disappear completely as soon as you power off your device.
fw_all.bin in the flash chip won't be affected.

Thank you kind sir. I'm going to play for a while now. I will post any progress here if I succeed or have more guestion. Again thak you

Bad news.
the way to display °F or °C is not in the firmware of the navigation unit. I've installed an original european navigation unit on my american GoldWing and the degreees sill are °F.
The only new mod we can try to make is the navigation key pression during the trip. But I have no idea if it is managed by this firmware or, like °F, by some other controller.

Can you make a video of °F display? I don't quite understand what you are talking about. I thought it's drawn by the firmware on the LCD.
Also what is the navigation key?

the temp display maybe/probably is in the meter panel and not the Nav. The spped mph/kph may also be determined by the meter panel. I know that if you disconnect the speed sense
signal to the nav , the line that goes between the meter panel and the nav unit the speedometer still works fine.
One thing that seemed strange if you disconnect the RX line on the nav board the display goes white and displays the trip and OD as 0 km.
Not sure if any of this helps but thought I would put it out there.

Is it possible that the meter panel determines whether the nav uses kilometers or miles.
I know that the meter panel and the nav board talk to each other before the display comes up.
-
This is the navigation unit schema. I don't see anyting connected to the temperature sensor.
May be that disconnecting #17 SPEED SENSOR the driver can use the navi driving the bike?

If you disconnect the speed sense line while moving on 2009 and up you have access to the nav. On 2006 you must do more.
should this be moved to another forum ?
