So you were using boot.bin for running patched fw_all.bin as suggested [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...], right?
Was it the first time that a patched firmware didn't execute normally? Or have your patched firmwares crashed previously?
Have you tried flashing GCD files as suggested [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]?
Can you upload the GCD file that killed your device?

Yes I was doing it per your instructions. Have not tried Neils way yet.
Had a few tries were the patched firmware did not execute normally.
Always booted normally after turning the ign off and then back on.
Had a few times were it would bring up the Nag screen and then reboot
or go into a reload from card. But always until this time rebooted normally.

You say that your device didn't show "show loading from card" when loading the latest patched firmware.
So maybe it wasn't loaded at all? Was your device working before your trying to load the patched firmware?
It's possible that it's a hardware problem.

Tried Neils method no luck. The display is a gray/brown it never shows the hold command.
When the ign is turned on the display does a quick flash and then gray/brown.
Sorry my fault. Everything was OK until last patch attempt. Sorry but I don't remember if it said Loading card before it crashed.

I can't help much until you are able to initiate GUPDATE.GCD flashing. Then we could flash some regions from a healthy device (including NV).
An alternate solution would be to unsolder the flash chip and write the dump of a healthy device to it.
It looks like flashing patched firmwares isn't that harmless if you don't have a normal pre-boot mode.

Have to leave for a couple of hours. If I can get to the Loading from card I believe I will be OK. I have tried to install a good copy of gupdate.gcd v4.50.

Thank you again for your help but after a day of trying ordered a new board.

Lack of a proboot mode can be a royal pain in the butt!
@kunix
Is your cooked US fw for EU voices as tested by carlinux [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...], and reported as having all 11 languages [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...], ready for public release?

Neil
That firmware is just EU v2.60. The only thing we added were italian voices.
I don't know if it's ready for release, as extensive testing is required. Just imagine what happens if US devices start dying after a few weeks with this firmware.
carlinux claims that the EU firmware was running normally and speaking italian. But it was just a brief test.

Thanks kunix. But i think you may have misconstrued what i meant. I know it's EU 2.60 [US was a typo], and that it's running with EU voices on a US navi which would be mute without you having added voices [that's what i meant by 'cooked', an inaccurate use of slang in this case perhaps ;)]. You've answered my question anyway, it's not ready for the unsuspecting public. However carlinux reported that he had all 11 voices in Post 266, whereas previously it seemed from Post 241 that he reported only IT working. That seems a huge accomplishment to me.
I'll stop nagging .... :)
