    Thanks...

...my problem is, that I've upgraded faulty nuvi 3490 for new 3590 and I've no xml file in my C:\Garmin directory since I use programs, what I've installed for my old nuvi (I've only replaced UnlockCodes.ucx so far.)

So I wonder, which program installation will generate this xml file?
    MapSource, USBdriver, CommunicatorPlugin?

I don't want to try manually since MapSource is patched already, so...

now, I already know, that xml is on the nuvi drive. I've also found the HWIDstring...

...but please where is an "inventory page"? in the device menu or on the my.garmin web?

no, I was dummy, so I've searched for xml at local hdd folder C:\Garmin

Inventory page on nuvi: First press for about 10 seconds battery icon on main menu. You should get diagnostic menu. Click "Next" button till you get page with header "Version information". Click "Start test", then "More" and you should see "Inventory page".

A friend of mine had to go back to 6.50 firmware on a 3590, so that he could enable all the additional features using the .xml files.
With versions 7.00 and 6.60 he was loosing Bluetooth and ecoRoute apps!

Extract attached rar direct on nuvi. (you will have folder .System and Garmin on your nuvi)
Turn off and then on nuvi.
Look in folder Garmin and look if you have garmindevice.xml inside (if you have garmindevice.tmp just rename to garmindevice.xml)
    Run webupdater and download all.
