GarminCure3 tool - the new way to create cure firmwares for Garmin devices

I got garmincure3 to run and put on cure, was seen as removable drive I put on original now after reboot it just sits at white screen... even if I turn it off, it goes back to white screen, it does the ding sound connecting to pc but in explorer it's not listed, in device manager it shows garmin under drives.... Edit....... I have rerun the garmincure3 with cure The pc now sees the unit as a removable drive, not sure what to do now because when I ran garmincure3 with original it left the unit on white screen and not being seen by pc anymore.... I will leave it connected till someone gets back to me Thanks.

Format the nuvi drive using rmprepusb (read on post #1) then install original.

What setting should I have set in rmprepusb Partition size: MAX Volume Label: Garmin nuvi Bootloader there are 5 options and under filesystem and overrides there are 5 options each, filesystem I would think would be fat32 and not sure about the overrides ?

I have the unit formatted with rmprepusb now do I run the garmincure3 cure or the original on the unit or should I get some kind of data recovery software and try and recover the drive ?

Now create new folder on empty nuvi and add name Garmin.
After this, run cure tool and flash with original.
Now run webupdater and update all.

Is the 2x5w 082700010280.rgn the original firmware for the Garmin nuvi 265w ?

I Flashed the unit with the 2x5w 082700010280.rgn the original everything went fine but the screen it still solid white, and when I hook it to the pc I don't see it as a removable drive ?.

I have reflashed the unit with cure file again so the pc can see it as a removable drive, anyone on here have the original files backed up except the map because it's so big, they could send me the files so I can recopy them back into the garmin folder....... Please help... I leave on a trip in a couple of weeks and need to get this back up or buy a new one.

Hi.

I was able to bring my Zum 660 back to life (mass storage mode) with cure image. But now I have the problem, that I can't get the original back onto the device. I use GarminCure3 as described, but the problem, that the device only shows up in Updater.exe, USB-Connection for 1 to 2 seconds. And even when try to click OK (Flash), it fails. Zumo goes on to boot to mass storage mode. What can I do? Am I missing something?

Is it possible to force flashing original from mass storage, while still cure image is flashed?

I hope I explained it correctly and haven't overlooked something.

You need to be in USB pre-boot mode, This is the only way !
