GarminCure3 tool - the new way to create cure firmwares for Garmin devices

Garmin Nüvi 2455 can be cured too, I have updated to the latest software 8.30 with GarminCure3.

Is someone still here. I have a Nuvi 855 which I wanted to use again. I tried updating the firmware but my laptop suddenly powered down. Now I can only see the Garmin Logo in the GPS. I can do a Pre-boot but that's about it.

I have followed and downloaded all the tools:
GarminCure3
GarminMapUpdater
Firmware - I have tried looking for my model online but I can only see a .exe which I can't use in GarminCure3

I downloaded a .rgn Nuvi8xx_regionfileonly_470.rgn and tried using it in GarminCure3 which I then got an error message.

Processing C:\Users\Eric\Desktop\Garmin\nuvi8xx_regionfileonly__470.rgn
This is a RGN file.
got an exception:
XRgnSection::Load(): REGION_HEADER.const52!=0x52 at offset=0000002D

Processing FAILED

Can anyone help me?

Unfortunately your nuvi runs a version of Linux not the usual proprietary Garmin OS. I don't think this Cure firmware can be used in any nuvi 8xx series devices. You likely need a different solution, maybe someone knows how and will post here or you might need to start a new request thread.

Actually i wrote "start a new request thread. Click on either 'Garmin Receivers Firmwares' or 'Garmin Discussion' in the main Garmin GPS Systems sub-forum and then click on the orange-colored "+Post New Thread" button to make a new request thread.

I use Nuvi 1200

The screen is black and only says garmin

The error massage from Updater.exe (IOU_Utilities.CPP-203-2.7) means the flash was aborted and no changes have been made. Try again, move very quickly to press OK immediately the the nuvi's details show in the window as in your second image, be sure to keep steady pressure on the screen until the flash is established properly (indicated by 'Loader' or 'Software Loading' message on screen).
