Well, this is strange. Messing with the internal flash drive shouldn't prevent your device from seeing satellites.
Maybe this problem was present before?
Try running the following utility:
[Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
Recently it turned out, it removes some statellite info from NV memory.

I tried to open the device in ingeneering mode, but I have no luck.I downloaded the driver mentioned in the post Disable Nuvi Map Update Message and install it, but the device is not seen from my pc. I am running Windows XP SP3. Is there another driver for Windows XP?
There is only one such driver. Try again using "battery" menu. Be aware that when in the "battery" meny, your device SHOULD NOT be seen as a flash drive.
If you have North American maps loaded and you are in Bulgaria, that could also be a problem.
I have gmappsup.img also for Europe CN2014.30.
I have installed Garmin usb driver, but I can`t run file start.bat. I try to as administrator also in Windows XP and 7
There is a error:
C:\>mupd-clr.exe
map updater message remover v0.1 by kunix
Inicializing USB...
ERROR: error while SetupDigetDeviceInterfaceDetail
What I am doing wrong?
Ah, I've forgotten that 37xx can't be seen in Garmin USB mode in the battery menu.
Let's try another magic.
Unpack the Garmin folder to the root of an SD card. [Only registered and activated users can see links. ]
Insert the SD card, turn on the device, wait until it reboots and prints "LOADER", then wait 10 minutes.
Then send SD:/Garmin/Updater/1101/update.log to me in private.
So, we've just erased your device's nonvol memory. Please keep that 41-backup.bin file.
Now your devices shows 37xx instead of 3790 when booting. Don't worry, it's okay.
Now try to acquire satellites. I hope nonvol erasing would help.
I've got no idea... Also I don't like that there are no signal bars above satellite numbers.
