I had a similar problem to yours, exactly the same symptom: device like dead, not recognized by pc at pre-boot, nothing. There is a hope of entering in pre-boot and install the firmware again , but the timing (moment) of placing and position of the finger on the screen are different procedures that you did before, probably because it is now installed, even that incorrectly, the 3790 firmware with the new position of "LOGO " Garmin, even that are not showing anything. Follow the instructions of the link below in post 73 of this topic by putting your finger in position 35 x 40mm, at the time that some shine appears on the screen. Good Luck!
