Finally my Etrex 30 is working properly. all firmware before 2.87 beta was incomplete. 2.87 beta fixed the compass. 2.90 and 3.00 have increased panning speed somewhat. my Etrex is definitely more snappy now, much less lag (but still not perfect, will probably need a faster CPU for that)
