Thread: Nuvi 34xx Software versions Summary

Here is my Smarphone Link pictures of 6.30 with some extra apps. Have not seen them in upper posts:

"Parking prices(availability?)", "Local search" (Google???),...,"Аddresses" and "Сurrency Exchange"
I can assume that its all showed only when current position is in Europe (i don't have America map) and GPS enabled. If not, i see only "Weather" and "myGarmin".
To set current position you can "Erase all user data" and then for example select "France". It will be set to center of Paris. But do it far from windows, to prevent device to get GPS signal. Or you can try to edit "special" file on device, where it stores real position (i don't remember what is it names. something like "current???.dat").

With 6.30 firmware update, Categories of Custom Pois are not shown correctly !!!

To get over this problem you can do as I did:

On my PC's hard drive I've organized my Custom Pois like this:
- C:\My_POI\General_GR\ gpx,bmp and wav files
- C:\My_POI\Radars_GR\ gpx,bmp and wav files
- C:\My_POI\Dangerous_GR\ gpx,bmp and wav files
Poi Loader was reading from the "red" folders and before 6.30 everything was OK

NOW with 6.30 here is what you have to do, so you can see the Categories of your Custom Pois:
- C:\My_POI\General\General_GR\ gpx,bmp and wav files
- C:\My_POI\Radars\Radars_GR\ gpx,bmp and wav files
- C:\My_POI\Dangerous\Dangerous_GR\ gpx,bmp and wav files

Now Poi Loader must read from the "green" folders so you can see categories in you Nuvi

With 6.30 update Poi Loader does not like to read from a folder that inside has POIS, but to read from a folder that inside has another folder and inside this one, are the POIS!!!!

I also happened to get 6.40 updated from mygarmin.com's "mydashboard". 6.40 will not show up from Webupdate though.
