What to with this GCD file? When I bought the device came with 5.40 Version. NOw I have downloaded this sw for 5.40.GCD from the link?
I have already updated my version to 5.80 before checking out this forum.
Is it similar to the one that is being offered in garmin site and through webupdater?

.GCD file is the file Garmin sends to update firmware in nuvi.
In the first post of this thread you can find the latest (5.80), with official and a mirrored link.

At the moment garmin site states that version 5.80 is available for download but it is 5.90.
