I've reported a bug but not the bug you are talking about. In my case, I've reported that with the GPS Off (Simulation mode) you can "Set Location" only once. Then you can't "Set Location" anymore unless you enable and disable the GPS again.
I did notice some extrange behaviour when having two different maps from the same area (one selected and the other one unselected). But I didn't pay attention to it. I though the maps where the problem so I deleted one of the maps and everything started to work alright.
Please report this. The more of us that report a bug the faster we will have a new firmware. I've just reported this problem too.

Well, I've reported two bugs a week ago now and I'm still waiting for an answer. I hope the fix it soon.
