At point 7 Erase your GUPDATE.GCD and all the POIsCode:Please Login or Register to see the links
After following the whole procedure till point 15 your Zumo should boot normally, then , you can replace GUPDATE.GCD with latest firmware one

Hi Catymag,
I recently upgraded my zumo 500 to latest firmware 4.9. It works fine as a PND. however, when I plug into the usb, it doesnt go into the mass stoarge mode. Have tried cables ports etc. But no luck. However, the battery icon disappears and it works on extrernal power. Any help?
