Also which location do I put it on the GPS (dont have SD Card)?

You can put in Nuvi\map\anyname.img eg map\3Deu201120.img

I created a new GUPDATE.gcd with my hwid 1101 copied to fw_all.bin.

fw_all shows SW version 220
boot.bin shows SW version 430

have unlocked 3D file copied to .syste,

copied the file to .system, deleted the other one. Then did a hard reset after reboot. Nothing seems to have changed. Under System settings, still hows 4.30. I dont see anything changed.

Anything ive done wrong?

Go to browse map page and zoom in at 50 meters.
Asian firmware will show you POIs Icon on map.

If you are sure about 3d map and already selected from menu Tools-->Settings-->MyMaps.
Maybe it means 3760 can not use Gmap3d.img
(I've never heard before about 3Dbuilding map on 3760., Did you try to put it within map folder?)

I created a map folder and put in the 3D map. still no good.
I will try with other firmware versions I guess

I think you have to use Updater.exe cause you have same firmware version as you already installed.
