Yes., your unit is US&Eu (hwid 1101)
Is it not possible to delete the gupdate.gcd under .System and replace it with the new one over usb in one step?
Yes., if you like to flash with .gcd so you can delete an old gupdate.gcd in .system and replace with the new one.
But if you use a new .gcd to flash nuvi via sd card (sd card\garmin\) and the same time you have an old .gcd within .system so result is ::
Nuvi will be flashed with a new .gcd from sd card --> reopen with new firmware -->nuvi detect the old gupdate.gcd within .system --> reflashed with old .gcd --> Nothing change.
When something goes wrong. I would copy the orignal gupdate to .System or by the SDCard-Way
No, if you get rebooting loop ., you won't acess mass storage anymore-then you can't flash nuvi back by replacing .gcd in .system. (and I'm not sure nuvi will detect sd card ?!?)
The way to get rid the new .gcd is "to flash nuvi again with original US .gcd via Pre-boot mode"
The instructions about flashing (hard reset, rename of the folders) only affect me when I use the .rgn way?
You should follow the same step by .gcd way too.
