So what would be the best firmware to used with 3790T in your opinion?
Stick with US or Sg/My 2.30 or others?

Up to what you need.
Ecoroute HD => US fw only
Asian JCV => Asian fw only
POIs Icon on map ==> Asian fw
contact, calendar ==> CHN fw only
Pois icons with ability to select the right road you are driving on ==> CHN ( [Only registered and activated users can see links. ] )
POis icons with co-ordinate => Sg/My
